For Dr. Rasciel Socarras of Pediatric Associates Causeway, 30 years in pediatrics can be measured in more than time. It can be measured in generations.
For two decades, Dr. Socarras has cared for one South Florida family as it grew. He was there when Héctor was a baby and continued to care for him through childhood and adolescence.
Years later, when another generation arrived, the family found a memorable way to celebrate that relationship. Baby Chloe arrived for an appointment wearing a custom onesie declaring her love for Dr. Socarras, complete with a glittery stethoscope heart.
And the tradition continued: at four years old, Chloe returned in a new shirt carrying the same message.
The gesture coincided with another milestone: Dr. Socarras celebrating 30 years of practicing pediatrics.
